Matthew's Recital

Matthew was quite an accomplished pianist. He started taking piano lessons when he was about six years old and quickly demonstrated both a passion and an aptitude for music. These selections are from his recital in the Spring of 2004. Matthew started taking piano lessons from Dr. Chapman at NGCSU when he was in 9th grade. We are very proud of his accomplishments. As we listen to these pieces we are overwhelmed with a variety of emotion - pride in his accomplishment, joy at the memory of sitting in the Gloria Schott Auditorium for his performance, and a deep sadness at his loss. Yes, we know where he is, so technically he is not lost, but the feeling persists, none-the-less.
